With the worrying decline of insects we are all being encouraged to build 'bug hotels'. This design is my favourite, so far, and I am in the process of replicating it at Boxmoor Trout Fishery. Both photos are from one I saw at Ayletts Garden Centre.

Fishing today on one of my club waters I managed a couple of small wild brownies before it got too hot & bright, but had fun using my 6' 6", 2wt fibreglass rod.

The true value though was just enjoying the surroundings.
