FREE Practical River Habitat Workshop
Learn how to improve River Habitat for Fish and Wildlife. Free hands-on training days run by the Wild Trout Trust give you the skills to carry out river habitat enhancement work.
What are they?
During the day-long workshops, you'll learn about the tools and techniques to improve river habitat. We will concentrate on the skills of installing woody material features such as flow deflectors and brash berms. The workshops are aimed at anyone working on rivers, from fishery managers to conservation volunteers. The aim is to give you the knowledge and techniques to be able to replicate what you have learnt to improve rivers elsewhere.
Equipment and materials will be provided you will just need to wear suitable clothes and bring waders if you have them.
