Petitjean CDC

This is a mighty tome, written by Marc Petitjean plus

great photography by Barry Ord Clark.

As well as chapters on CDC origins and tying the original plus modern patterns, there are also chapters on tools, techniques, tips.

I really like the way it is laid out, on the bottom of the pattern pages are pictures of all the materials and tools needed. Very clear step by step photos of the tying and the finished fly is viewed in profile, from under, from above and face on.

The chapters are interspersed with fishing stories and some lovely photographs of various locations, fish and people.

If you enjoy tying with CDC (as I do) then this is your new bible.

The only drawback for me was that I had to buy it direct from his website in Switzerland, www.petitjean.com.
