Hatches for 2020!

Stuart Crofts at the BFFI gave some very interesting predictions about the hatches we can expect this season.
He bases these on the previous weather conditions which are critical during three phases;
Emergence, swarming & egg laying, if there are high winds and heavy rain during any of these hatches are likely to be poor.
Some of his predictions are;
Large Dark Olive - O.K.
Blue Winged Olive - poor
Olive Upright - good
Mayfly - very good, with a proviso that because of the flooding a lot of silt has been moved, so the hatch may not be in the expected place.
Midges - always good, with 400 varieties there is a hatch every month of the year.
